Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Fitr is the first Muslim holiday, which Muslims celebrate on the first day of the month of Shawwal, followed by Eid al-Adha in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah. Eid al-Fitr comes after fasting the month of Ramadan and is the first day on which Muslims break their fast after fasting the entire month, and that is why it is called Eid al-Fitr. It is forbidden to fast on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, and the holiday lasts for three days.
